Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Nairobi Tented Camp .

Today you will be transferred to Wilson airport in time for your flight to the Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. This is a spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. You will have two days to explore this reserve in some depth. You will have the chance to see elephant, giraffe, prides of lion, and thousands of impala, topi, grants and Thomson’s gazelle. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. The Mara is the scene of annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grasses. While in Mara, you will have the option to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem on board a hot air balloon followed by a gourmet champagne breakfast. After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to the local airstrip in time for your flight to the Serengeti National Park. On arrival, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the lodge in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive will take you into the heart of the Serengeti where you may spot herds of wildebeest, zebra, hyena, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhinoceros, hippos, buffalo, jackals, and gazelles. The next two full days will be spent exploring Serengeti’s 5,600 square miles for a chance to see cheetah, giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant – the list is endless. After breakfast, start the drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area via Olduvai Gorge, where famed archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the fossilized remains of the earliest known man, believed to be about 1.8 million years old. You will have plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing en route to your accommodation on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Depart after breakfast for a half-day game drive on the crater floor. Within the walls of the crater lie short grasslands, swamps, forests and a freshwater lake, inspiring continual migration of animals and you will have the opportunity to spot the “big five” – buffalo, elephant, leopard, the black maned lion and the endangered, rare black rhinoceros – as well as zebra, wildebeest and gazelles. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Manyara airstrip in time for your flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will make your way to the departures terminal in time for your flight home.
