OVERVIEW
The introduction of the Wildlife Conservation Act of 1960 resulted in checking the loss of Zimbabwe’s wildlife. By the 1990s, Zimbabwe was one of the leading countries in Africa in wildlife conservation and management, but thereafter the country’s wildlife suffered huge losses due to political conflict. In the last decade, however, the parks of Zimbabwe have recovered remarkably and most are today considered environmental success stories. This trip visits three of the best parks in the space of just ten days.
