Best of Nepal’s Culture and Wildlife

OVERVIEW

There are many good reasons why Nepal is one of the world’s favourite travel destinations. The Kathmandu Valley contains numerous temples, stupas and ancient buildings, the Nepal Himalayas are home to many of the world’s highest peaks, and the diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty of the Terai are hard to rival anywhere in Asia. This itinerary incorporates the very best of each of these aspects of this spectacular country.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day One • Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be met by a representative from and transferred directly to Dwarika’s Hotel. After check-in you will have the remainder of the day sightseeing in Kathmandu on your own. The city is a maze of streets and temples, so the best way to see it is to merely walk around. Taxis are available should you wish to visit nearby Pashupatinath or Swayambhunath temples – both well worth the trip. Overnight at Dwarika’s Hotel .
Day Two • Explore Kathmandu

Days Five and Six • In Pokhara
Spend the next two full days at Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge, located on a spectacular hilltop ridge a thousand feet above Pokhara Valley. The lodge has panoramic views of Machhapuchhare, and three of the world’s 8,000-metre-high peaks, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna. Short walks in the surrounding hills make for an unforgettable experience. Overnight on both nights at the Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge .
Day Seven • Drive to Chitwan
