John and Carol Groenewald, Visited Varanasi & Rajasthan – From South Africa

Our time in India seems a long way in the past now although I spent a lot of the holiday period working through the 1500 odd images I have. The trip as a whole was great and the itinerary suited us perfectly. [Varanasi was] undoubtedly a highlight and in our opinion a “must.” We loved Jaisalmer. [Udaipur was] a wonderful place and the Jagat Niwas Palace, where we had a room at lake-level, was first class and great value for money. We cannot sing our driver Vikram’s praises highly enough. Not only was he an excellent, careful driver but he was always courteous and friendly. His English was fairly good and on a few occasions we even went to restaurants he recommended.
